and natural catastrophes. Job Summary Reporting to the Associate
Dean for network Growth, the Director of Continuing Education and
Workforce Development provides strategic and visionary leadership
and administrative oversight of professional programs and
continuing education for Miami and the Southeast corridor and in
support of programs across Bouvé College of Health Sciences. This
role is responsible for creating, expanding, managing, and
implementing a diverse portfolio of professional education
programs, products, and services that enhance the college's
lifelong learning offerings in continuing education (CE),
continuing medical education (CME), and workforce development. This
role requires a sophisticated understanding of joint accreditation
processes. Working collaboratively across all programs and faculty
within Bouvé College, the Director builds collaborative
partnerships across multiple schools and disciplines to create a
unified, high-impact portfolio of professional development
programs. The Director builds and sustains networks with
individuals and organizations across health professions education,
including global education partners, to develop and deliver
innovative, responsive programming that addresses the evolving
needs of healthcare professionals. The Director develops and
promotes marketing initiatives through strategic public relations,
community outreach and works in concert with the Director of
Strategic Growth and Collaboration in Miami and the Assistant Dean
for Partnerships and clinical affairs to strategize on
developmental areas. This work will support the growth of the
department and specific programs within a self-supporting financial
model. This includes building strong community relationships to
promote programs, assessing future training needs, and ensuring
alignment with workforce demands. The position demands exceptional
ability to lead interdisciplinary groups, convene diverse
stakeholders, and build consensus across departments to achieve
mutually agreed upon goals and objectives that advance Bouvé
College's mission of providing excellence in health sciences
education throughout the professional lifespan. Qualifications
Education & Experience Bachelor's degree in health sciences,
education, business administration, or related field; master's
degree preferred Minimum 5 years of progressively responsible
experience in continuing education, professional development, or
workforce development within healthcare or higher education
settings Experience in an academic medical center or health
sciences college environment Technical Knowledge & Skills
Demonstrated expertise in joint accreditation processes and
interprofessional continuing education standards Professional
certification in continuing education (CCMEP or similar) Knowledge
of multiple health professions' scope of practice and educational
requirements Strong understanding of healthcare delivery systems,
professional licensing requirements, and competency frameworks
across health professions Experience with learning management
systems, continuing education tracking platforms, and CRM systems
Leadership & Management Proven track record of successful program
development and revenue generation in continuing education within a
self-supporting business model Experience leading interdisciplinary
teams and managing complex, multi-stakeholder initiatives Track
record of innovation in continuing education delivery and business
model development Budget management experience and financial acumen
Established relationships with healthcare systems, professional
associations, and global education partners Ability to develop and
lead strategic initiatives and follow through to completion.
Excellent management, organizational, interpersonal, and
communication skills. A high degree of self-motivation and
self-direction is essential, coupled with a proven track record of
collaborative work. Demonstrated track record of success in sales
and/or relationship management. Ability to work in a matrixed
environment to deliver against shared goals. Effective communicator
and collaborator with the ability to motivate others towards shared
goals. Ability to track activity and report results. Ability to
collaborate with faculty and staff across programs, Schools,
Colleges & departments including Deans, Associate Deans, Program
Directors, and other academic administrators Organizational tact
and diplomacy; possess superb interpersonal skills required to
develop close relationships with external partners and key
influencers around campus and the broader University. Demonstrated
ability to build internal and external collaborations, finding
solutions benefiting all parties, and focusing on long-term success
over short-term results. Ability to serve as an ambassador for the
University in the region; representing the Dean and campus
strategic interests when appropriate Demonstrated commitment to
belonging efforts. Flexibility for travel within the region and as
needed. Key Responsibilities & Accountabilities Strategic Planning
& Program Development (20%) Develop and execute annual strategic
plans for continuing education and workforce development that align
with the college mission and respond to healthcare workforce trends
Design, develop, and manage a variety of programs, including
courses, certifications, and workshops, based on community and
workforce needs Launch a minimum of 20 new programs annually that
address identified market opportunities and workforce needs
Implement long-term plans to ensure program growth, innovation, and
continuous improvement Accreditation, Compliance & Quality
Assurance (20%) Maintain accreditation status for all applicable
programs, ensuring 100% compliance with ACCME and other relevant
accrediting body standards Ensure programs meet state licensing and
accreditation requirements Conduct program evaluations to maintain
quality and effectiveness Ensure 90% or higher participant
satisfaction ratings across all programs Partnership Development &
Business Growth (15%) In coordination with the Director of
Strategic Growth and Collaboration in Miami establish and maintain
partnerships with health organizations, professional associations,
industry partners, businesses, and community organizations annually
Build and maintain relationships with internal college departments
to support collaborative program development Generate business
contracts totaling established annual revenue goals through direct
sales and partnership development Coordinate communication and
provide consultation to stakeholders across healthcare, education,
and community sectors Program Operations & Supervision (25%) Direct
day-to-day operations of continuing education programs, ensuring
policies and procedures are followed Oversee scheduling,
enrollment, and delivery of all continuing education programs,
achieving enrollment targets and maintaining quality standards
Analyze enrollment and performance data quarterly to inform program
adjustments and resource allocation decisions Implement and
maintain technology systems that support efficient program
operations and participant tracking Financial Management & Grant
Administration (10%) Achieve annual revenue targets within
self-supporting business model Develop and manage annual operating
budget, oversee program expenditures, and maintain fiscal
responsibility achieving break-even or surplus Manage grant
proposals, reporting, and secure external funding through grants
achieving established annual grant funding targets Prepare and
submit all required budget reports on schedule Identify and secure
institutional and external resources to support program growth and
staff development Maintain accurate financial tracking and
reporting systems Marketing, Outreach & Leadership Development
(10%) Lead marketing efforts to promote programs to the public,
potential employers, and prospective participants Supervise,
evaluate, and develop direct reports, conducting annual performance
reviews and providing ongoing coaching Recruit, train, and retain
qualified instructors and staff to deliver high-quality educational
programming Lead interdisciplinary planning committees and working
groups to achieve collaborative program development goals Foster
team culture of innovation, collaboration, and continuous

Compensation Grade/Pay Type: 111S Expected Hiring Range: $79,005.00
- $111,596.25 With the pay range(s) shown above, the starting
salary will depend on several factors, which may include your
education, experience, location, knowledge and expertise, and
skills as well as a pay comparison to similarly-situated employees
already in the role. Salary ranges are reviewed regularly and are
subject to change.
